WELCOME to the 2025-2026 WCCHE CREATIVE ARTS EXHIBITION! WCCHE CAE
Hello WCCHE Families:
This academic year, we are challenging WCCHE students to use their God-given creative abilities to bless the WCCHE community through the 2025-2026 WCCHE CREATIVE ARTS EXHIBITION! SAVE THE DATE and get your dresses and suits ready ladies and gents to join us for refreshments and a creative evening with the WCCHE students on March 7, 2026 from 5-8 pm.
God’s beauty and ingenuity are all around us. God graciously and uniquely fashioned us in his image. He amazingly gifted us not only with his nature but also the likeness of his creativity. I believe God did this so that we could express our gratitude and share his glory with the world. Throughout history, inventors, engineers, artisans and performers, etc. have used their creativity to build futures, mark history, persuade ideas, encourage mankind and express emotion through joyful and cathartic times. WCCHE students have opportunity to express God’s glory through this year’s WCCHE CREATIVE ARTS EXHIBITION!
From October 2025 to February 2026, ALL WCCHE students will have the opportunity to explore applied arts /performing arts/ engineering arts from around the world through the lens of glorifying GOD. The challenge involves using their talent to express their gifts through different creative forms including theatrical performance, dramatic or oral interpretation, dance, instruments, pottery, animation, sewing, quilting, film-making, graphic design, crochet, knitting, mechanical arts and robotics, 3D printing, murals, drawing, fashion design, paintings, photography, public speaking, prose, poetry, wood working, metal, jewelry, etc. The opportunity for creative forms are limitless. Students can take inspiration from a world-renowned artist, engineer, musician, actor, vocalist, world geography, landscapes of God’s creation, historical figures or artifacts they are studying or something that inspired them from a travel experience or world event. Students can also work in teams. The world is their canvas of creativity.
This year we will be hosting several contests.
The first contest will be for students to create a logo for the WCCHE AGAPE. Participants can send their design logo electronically to sandi.light@gmail.com. The design can be hand drawn, painted or done with graphics. The winning participant design will be displayed at the WCCHE ART GALLERY AND PERFORMING AWARDS EXHIBITION. The winner will be announced on the WCCHE website or through WCCHE email board and their award will be presented at the ceremony in March. The Logo should include the words WCCHE ART GALLERY AND PERFORMING AWARDS EXHIBITION. The logo should reflect God, artistic creativity and the community that is represented within WCCHE. Submissions must be turned in by DECEMBER 7, 2025. If there are any families that own sign or graphic design companies or know someone that would be interested in donating the printing sign of the winning logo, please contact me at sandi.light@gmail.com. Thank you.
For the second contest, awards will be given in 5 categories in both physical art and performing arts. We will be presenting awards and prizes for world ingenuity, creative design or performance, Godly inspiration, talent honed to skill and best team competition. There will be 3 grade categories. 1st-4th grades, 5th-8th grades and 9th-12th grades. Stay tuned for future email where award details will be described so students understand what to aim for. Everyone will receive a participation award. There will be 1st and 2nd and 3rd place winners for each grade category.
The third contest will be a silent voting contest for the students to match art or performers to the location in the world the creator received their inspiration from. For example, if someone brings a piece of Indian pottery – did their inspiration come from India, Mexico, America? What country inspired their art? Or if it is a performing artist, what country, artist or culture did their dance or song inspiration come from? There will not be grade categories for this contest. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
The fourth contest will be for the art portion only. It will be for the students to guess which WCCHE student created which piece of art. At the end of the talent show, the art students will have the opportunity, if they want, to present their work on stage unless of course it is to heavy or too big. Students do not have to have work completed but if they know they are going to enter, registration must be completed by February 10, so we have an idea of how many participants we have. Registration opens October 1. All artists/performers must register by February 10. They do not have to know what art they have by this day or what they will be performing. We just need to gauge interest, so we know how to prepare. Any families that own businesses that can donate a few tickets, gift certificates for products or lessons for prize awards, please contact me at sandi.light@gmail.com. Thank you. We will have a brochure, and your information and/or logo will be displayed in our CAE program. There will not be grade categories for this contest. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
We will have outside guests from various Christian based art and performing arts organizations presenting the awards including Take 3, The Potter’s Clay, Maurer Entertainment, Lend Me Your Ear Productions, Lumo Entertainment and I am working on a couple of others. Mike Leicht, indie filmmaker/producer, and theatre producer/director will be MC’ing the evening. Date: March 7, 2025 Time: 5-8 p.m. Each student will be allowed 1 entry.
All performing artists must turn in the title of their performance, grade category and what artist, country or idea inspired their performance by February 12, 2026. All physical art entries must also be turned in by February 12, 2026 with student name, grade category and what country or idea inspired their art contribution and why they chose it. Due to time constraints, there will be a 25 person limit for performing art entrants to sign up and each performance must be 3 minutes or less in length so sign up EARLY. There will be a 40 person limit for physical art so again sign up early.
